Wendy Rua

Wendy identifies and secures funding from foundations, corporations, and government agencies to support institutional initiatives and other College priorities. 

Joining 91Ƶappƽ in 2017, Wendy was previously the TLI Program Coordinator (2017-2023). Wendy also served on Staff Council from 2019- 2023. 

Wendy is an MHC alum, with a B.A. in Psychology & Education. Her previous experience includes a diversity of experiences in social work and in the public school system. 

Wendy is currently an elected official for the Town of Agawam, serving as a School Committee member. Born and raised in Western MA, she is also busy raising three sons with her husband, Mario.

“Parable of the Sower” is the 2025 Common Read

91Ƶappƽ has selected “Parable of the Sower” for its Common Read for the 2025–2026 academic year. The New York Times named the novel a Notable Book of the Year for its prescient treatment of racial justice, climate collapse and fascism.
